Orb Web Spider 3

This shot shows that characteristic orb web. The zigzag pattern is thought to warn birds so they don't damage the web. The female recycles the protein by eating her web before she builds another one. I learned that on Google.

Thank you, Cindy and Whittler, for taking time to visit and comment. This female was gone the next day as well as her web. She became agitated when the gate was opened and began waving the web back and forth. I think that might be how she ejects an unwanted visitor!
