The spider waits patiently for an unlucky bug to come along and become dinner. This spider had made his home in between the rocky shore of the Great Salt Lake in northern Utah near the main marina. There were hundreds of these spiders along the rocks; so many, in fact, that I was hesitant to sit down on the rocks for fear of sitting in an unseen spider web. I think this is a common garden spider.
