Phidippus borealis

Phidippus borealisThis is a male Phidippus boeralis I followed for a while as it hunted on a tree trunk in my yard. Like all jumping spiders, it relies on its keen eyesight to locate prey. This spider may look wide-eyed and "cute," but it is actually a ferocious predator!
