Snowy Owl - natural habitat

this Snowy Owl was farther away, with 2 others. They seemed to be in little groups of 3, - am wondering if it was parent owls with one juvenile each. In each group there was a brown speckled owl like this one, and a much whiter owl, then what I think might have been the youngster belonging to each pair. The owls that appeared to be juveniles were sitting down beside these big logs, as if the parents made them stay there for protection. They didn't move from that place either.

thanks again, Jeannette, think you're right about one eye being on the camera : ) they definitely were keeping eyes on the several people taking pics that day, guess they are used to it somewhat now tho. they are magnificent birds.

This is a lovely portrait. The beautiful bird against the texture of the log is very nice.

thanks very much Susan, think I like this one best too, like the way the tail and wings show up here at the back of the owl, plus its legs/feet on the log
