Snowy Owl - natural habitat

Snowy Owl - natural habitatthis Snowy Owl was farther away, with 2 others. They seemed to be in little groups of 3, - am wondering if it was parent owls with one juvenile each. In each group there was a brown speckled owl like this one, and a much whiter owl, then what I think might have been the youngster belonging to each pair. The owls that appeared to be juveniles were sitting down beside these big logs, as if the parents made them stay there for protection. They didn't move from that place either.
