Snow Geese touchdown

Snow Geese landing in a potato field in our area : )

Some of the snow geese were finding potatoes that had been left behind, and they were hurrying off with their prizes : )

have just enlarged the image, and realized it's not the head and beak of a goose near the wing of the goose on the Left. It's just a clod of earth on the furrow : ) But am sure it's an extra pink leg near that goose on the left.

Noticed one extra leg behind the goose at the left lol, -- guess there must be another goose behind there someplace, but at first it surprised me. Have just noticed what looks like a bit of a goose head and beak near the raised wing of that goose at the left. Hard to see with the furrows there.

Yes, it was funny watching a couple of the geese grab a potato and rush off with it, with the others following. Guess they are looking for grubs mostly, but just happened to find a few stray spuds. Am not sure if they actually eat the spuds or not, but they seemed happy with their prizes : ) You'd wonder how their blunt beaks would break the potato.
