Rufous Hummingbird Bathing

: Rufous Hummingbird Bathing; Rufous hummingbird bathing at our front patio waterway. This little fella has been so elusive, - he veers off, away from landing at the feeder, if he sees me at the window, - so am very pleased to have finally captured a photo of him! thanks Fella, - I know, re the big ones : ) - it gets addictive, right, - hubby asked me if I wanted to go get some eagle and heron shots today, but I wanted to go see if the owls were around. no luck. Not sure where they've gone to, but it might be something to do with the eagle nest in that owl area. Look forward to seeing your latest eagle shots

thanks very much, Mary in Pa and Beverly. glad you like it. It's hard to capture them with their gorgets showing the iridescence. Quite often it shows up as "black" if the lighting doesnt reflect just right.
