In my fantasy setting, The Desert Realm (www.desertrealm.com/forum), there aren't horses, so these giant lizards are used as mounts instead. They are mighty vicious like you mentioned, but better than walking in the blistering heat of the midday desert sun.

Can you trust it to ride it? It looks mighty vicious!!
