Rangitoto Island is a volcanic island in Auckland Harbour. You can't go anywhere in Auckland without seeing this example of an extinct volcano. It is a conservation site.

Thanks Lorraine and Jas. New Year was lovely weather, very hot and on this day a bit of wind as you can see on the water. Its a good view from the Sky Tower Jas I agree.

This brings back memories of my visit to New Zealand. Only saw the island from Auckland Sky Tower, so will have to go back again to visit. Beautiful colour in the water.
