Actually - there was no room on the property for church expansion - when these people were buried, around 1815, no one realized that they would one day need a larger house of worship. It's actually a tribute to those who passed as the graves did not have to be disturbed. We also saw it on the trolley tour two weeks ago, but it was unable to stop along that narrow stretch of road. Hullo, Gil - From the new Pennsylvania Welcome Center turn right under the little bridge (I think it's River Road at that point). Turn left at the tavern at Shawnee-on-Delaware (which eventually comes out on 209 after the KOA). Not too far after you turn off River Road you'll see the church on a hill to your right. We parked right there at the bottom of that driveway, but there's a parking lot across the street from the church at the next intersection. You can see the wall from the road, but at that distance you don't realize that the headstones form the base of the extended structure. walk around the back of the building to your right, if you go there, and tell me what you think those markers at the bottom of the side wall are. I do have images, but am a bit confused as to whether they are memorial markers or very small headstones. There's also one sad-looking marker toward the bottom of the hill - a simple wood 4 x 4 grave marker. Vicki
