Planetarium and "The Crab" Sculpture

Planetarium and

Planetarium and "The Crab" Sculpture

The HR MacMillan Planetarium and Centennnial Museum, Vancouver, BC Canada. The Crab is made from stainless steel, sculpted by George Norris. There's a time capsule placed under a plaque in the area. Apparently this crab sculpture is one of the most photographed items in the city.

Great pic and sculpture is awesome

trip there was in 1971 w/young daughters, came across old photo so decided to search internet for information+photos. my photo is at a distance and not very sharp, but still conveys the wonderful skill of the sculptor...thanks for the great photo.

thanks very much, Bernie from NZ. - had been awhile since we'd been there, so we are enjoying viewing all these places of interest again :)

Wow. I am imagining the amount of hours that went in to creating the sculpture. I can see why it is so photographed so often.

Hello Ikka, many thanks, am glad you liked this different type of view of the building. I hope you will visit this continent someday soon.

Alanda, it is very interesting to me, that you show some of this planetarium and in the capture of your own style. Thanks vor sharing it. I have to go to the States and Canada and see all nice and interesting places.

Hi Golda, thanks, - it was always a favourite place to visit for us also. Some years since I saw a show there. It was closed yesterday when we were there, due to other events taking place nearby, (Bard on the Beach, and the Celebration of Light/Fireworks)
