Some of the bands in Carnival parade in New Orleans, Louisiana are not from schools unless it is perhaps the school of hard knocks. There are some jazz bands. I love it when these pass and play. Their marching is dancing and their playing is always jazz. There is nothing like a good jazz band and New Orleans has a lot of these. They not only enjoy their music but you can not help but get your foot tapping as they play.
