here's the adult Owl with the gruesome prey, looks like the remains of a rat. The owl is looking upwards here, towards her babies, as she is just about to hop/fly up to where they are perched, above her, to feed one of them. All the owls were Very high up in the cottonwoods, hope to capture some closer shots later, but it's doubtful now that the young owls have fledged.

She must've been holding onto this prey while she napped, as she seemed to be sleeping when we arrived there, and suddenly produced this "relic" right after the previous frame : )
