This is a spreading oak tree. It reminded me of a story of from one trunk grew many branches. None of the branches were alike but they were all part of the tree and all needed. By the way this is in City Park in New Orleans, Louisiana. It was once part of the Allard Plantation. There were dueling oaks in the area that were used to shade those about to shoot each other.
