Fill It Up

In Oatman, Arizona I noticed this view. I think the price per gallon left on the pump was $1.29, better get there before it goes up lol.... This is a Ford but I'm not sure if it is a Model A or not.

Hi Brian, I'm glad you enjoyed this view of the old truck and pump. There are lots of old things to look at in Oatman, Arizona. I only live 30 some miles from Oatman and have been there many many times. I always find something interesting on every visit. Thanks very much for dropping by and leaving your comment. If you ever get out this way Oatman is a must visit town. Lots of photo ops and Burrows to pet and feed.

This is a great old truck. It's cool to see the old gas pump near it as well.

Hi Robyn, No problem LOL.. And Thanks Chriss for your nice comment. I think when they get this old they go from a classic to a antique. I just call them real cars LOL...

Alan lovely image, we would call this a real classic in England.

Hi Gminniss, Thanks for all of the information about the old Ford truck. Yea you should have kept those Model A Fords, there worth some nice cash now days :) Hey Robyn mums the word on the new word lol....

Let's don't tell him , Alan. I have trouble enough keeping up with the sayings and dual meanings as it is.....lol!

gminniss from Arizona on Dec 19, 2007 at 4:45 PM said:

This is a Ford truck, alright. And it is the same vintage as the Model A Fords. However, Ford trucks of this size were designated AA rather than A. The pickup of that vintage, which is smaller, was designated as a Model A. Go figure.

BTW: I have owned a couple of Model A Fords. I sure wish I would have kept them. Oh well.

Hi Alex, Thanks very much :) Glad you liked this photo. I also have no idea of the year of this old beauty, but I do know it was quite a drop off on the passengers side.

Hi Don, Thanks very much.. The people of Oatman know that tourist like to take photos so they work on placing things for good photo ops. This is one of them. The reason the pump is cropped so tight is there was a fancy blue car parked next to the pump. If you look at the drivers window you can see the car lol.. Oh well maybe the next time I'm up there the car will not be. I'm glad you liked my photo :)

Hi Carol, Ann, and Cindy.. Thanks so much for your nice comments. That was for sure the good old days Carol.... It is a Ford Ann, I'm not sure about the model A part. It could be with the flatbed added along the way. Yea Cindy I bet it will run on about anything you put in the tank.

Cindy from NZ on Oct 2, 2007 at 10:11 PM said:

Great photo, love everything about it and I bet the little truck runs on the smell of an oily rag!

Alan what is the make of this truck? Is it a model A Ford? If

so I have riden in the back of a

model A Ford.

I like the way you got the gasoline pump in the picture. And

also, the view of the mountains all around the photograph. Job

well done Alan.
