Hi Shreekant, thanks for the nice comments. About the tail, no, the nuthatch doesn't wag its tail, -- which is actually much shorter than it appears here. I should have mentioned in my description above, that this nuthatch was trying to balance, hence the movement, - you can see its feet are partway round the perch as it was sortof slipping : )
