Can anyone guess what these are, or what purpose they serve. You may think that you have the answer but its really quite surprising. I had a lot of fun with my camera and these. Tania, you aren't allowed to tell :-)

Hi Lulu, I noticed that we tied in votes for the win. I still don't fully understand the score thing. Anyway just wanted to say Congratulations on your great photo and one that is really fun to view..

Thanks Lulu, A very good entry, it had me puzzles for a while.

I do hope this contest is run again as it seems to have been very popular. Chriss:)

Chirs35 you are correct. This is mounted on the top of TMR's hubbies patrol car and with display various messages from just simple arrows pointing left or right to the word "accident" (which is not a good thing to see displayed). I took some photos at night but took this earlier in the day as I thought they looked interesting.

Lulu, Is this used as some sort of hazard warning sign, or a symbol giving information.

I do know that Light Emitting Diodes (L.E.D's) are used to save power.

No sorry, thats not it. Chriss35 kind of has the right idea.

You might have it right Chriss35 but what are they on and what message do they display?

Lulu, These look very much like Light Emitting Diodes (L.E.D's).

Is this some sort of circuit communication system?

Hey, thanks everyone for commenting. Just a little clue - this is a closeup shot. Have fun guessing.

They appear to be some kind of bulbs like in a street crossing signal.

This is a good one, Lulu.

Cool picture. Maybe it's neon lights? A network panel or something to do with telecommunications or computer stuff? No clue, but very cool!

Hi Lulu, I was wondering about removing all of the comments this morning. But after thinking about it and the dates I figured out what you were doing. You can edit comments on your photos by going to the manage images page, then no need for a monitor to do it. I will keep your secret about what this photo is LOL..

Alandra, I got the other comments removed so that I could start fresh with this one and not give have everyone know straight away what it was. Not sure if you viewed these comments before they were removed but I will reveal all at a later date.

very good, Lulu. I wouldn't have been able to guess that one. I thought of Lite Brite also, initially, then thought of pieces of Lego :) but the yellow bits didn't look quite right for Lego.
