Mesa Verde

Mesa Verde

I have a cheapo slide scanner. I project the image onto a white card and snap it with my digital. The result on this one was a very scratched up photo. It took me a long time with Photoshop 7 to clean it up.

thank you for the feedback, Gary. I wrote it slightly off - I've been to Montezuma's Castle and got some great photos there. Many off the cliff dwellings are off limits now - glad to hear you were able to see some of the rooms at Mesa Verde!

Thanks for the comments. Vicki, I didn't really answer your question. In fact, I read it wrong. I took the photo in 1962 and that was the only time I've been there. At that time, you could explore some rooms in Mesa Verde. We got to go in many of them. I doubt that's the case now, but don't know for sure.

Great pic . I also thought it was Montezuma's Castle .

Thanks Vicki. This is not Montezuma's Castle. It is Mesa Verde, in the Four Corners area of Colorado. Mesa Verde is a national park. It is much larger than Montezuma's Castle. Also, you can't get up at an elevation to shoot Montezuma's Castle. The only view you can get of it is from the trail below the Castle. I think I have a couple of shots of that somewhere, but they are not very impressive.

Thank you for a delightful treat here, Gary. Is this, like Montezuma's Castle in Arizona, also off-limits for exploring?

Thanks folks. This is the only restored photo I have of Mesa Verde. I have a couple more scratched up ones, but they are not worth working on.
