Picture of my husband (on the left) on his way to finishing 1st in his age group in the local Mountain to Surf Marathon in New Plymouth. And it means just that - they start the marathon on the slopes of Mount Egmont (see other pics) & end up at the sea. I'm usually the 'water girl' but on this day I had my camera. Where are the other people you ask? Well, let's just say he usually finishes in the top 20 so he's always with the front runners! lol It may not LOOK like he's going fast, but he's definitely going faster at the beginning than he is at the end! And this was near the beginning. It's a very picturesque marathon to run, you should come & try it. :o)
