Jumping Deer

This was taken in Montana near a friend's cabin. We tracked a group of deer for several miles, and they decided to cross the road here.

Thanks Art and Alan. That area of Montana doesn't get any greener... I think the deer stay that color so that they can blend.

Alan, by the way, that's pretty funny. I'll try and frame him better the next time I see a deer jumping a fence. :) I was happy to even get him jumping since I had to jump out of the car with the 7 pound lens on. I didn't even have time to extend the monopod. But yeah, I know what you mean... I would have liked to have him more in the frame too.

I could play with the background in PS though. Thanks for your input guys :)

C&C, I'm with Art about the browns all blending in, maybe next trip take it when things are greener LOL.. Oh on your next split second shot try to not cut off the critters legs and show a little more under them to show how high they are. :)

C&C, Great timing on the capture. If there is some way you can make him stand out a little more from the background I think that would improve the photo. The browns and greys tend to blend together. The background is well out of focus so I don't know if you could darken or lighten the background or maybe darken the animal a little
