Jazz Funeral

Jazz Funeral

This is the inside of a store in the French Quarter. The funeral caught my eye. I am glad that New Orleans is coming back and we do not need a jazz funeral for it.

The alligators were ideal for the horsemen and the man at the mike reminded me of Louis Armstrong for whom the New Orleans International is named. Hopefully, someday, you will come to New Orleans and see this and the other sites.

Thanks much for the reminder of why we place our photos there. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

I appreciate it very much just think of all the work that went into making that display. Also like all your pictures, Patches, the recipes and of course the Civil War monuments.

We can never please everyone all the time.I put in my Gallery what pleases me if others like it that nice if they dont so be it.After all we pay for our gallery its there for us to use.I enjoy looking at all pictures.

Thanks, the jazz funerals are something else. You did pretty well on the spelling of the name. The Toussaint was correct. The first name is Allen. Both the Professor and Toussaint are respected in the jazz world.

Hey Dud, I can appreciate it! Somewhere I have a video, Piano Players Rarely Ever Play Together that aired on PBS with Professor Longhair and Alan Toussaint (sp?). During the making of the video Prof. L. died and they had a New Orleans Jazz funeral and it was fantastic to watch.

Thanks for the comments. I know not every one can appreciate this shot, since it is not flowers or sunrises, but I think it is a good one.
