Thank you Alex, Beverly, Marie and Steve for the very nice comments! I took this shot last December, but didn't know quite what to do with it. I'm sure glad you all seem like it this way. I fooled with it for several hours before going with this effect. Thanks again. Don

Bit late with my appreciation, but you're going hammer and tongs for a fourth win here Don, and I doubt very much if anyone will be able to stop you!

The frame works perfectly here (is that the fourth frame I've liked? - must be going soft!) and the way you've made the frame play with the selective colouring is truly inventive. Stunning image.

Thanks for that Don, I'm off to read and then give it a go. I think it makes for a great effect, especially on your photo. Good luck in the 'jagged contest'

Thanks Mary, Golda, Carol, Vicki, Marsha and Cindy! The kind words are very much appreciated.

Cindy, the selective coloring bit is very simple really. There is a nice easy to understand write up on it here on the LF site. You just copy a layer on top of the colored one and reduce the saturation to 0%. Use the eraser to wipe out the parts of the unsaturated photo on top you want to be in color and the color from the lower photo shows through. Don
