Iris

This is in what was once my own yard. It did not know it is too cold to bloom. The landlord has killed all of these flowers and many elephant ears that protected the house from the cold weather coming under it. Irises are quite common in the swamp in South Louisiana. There is nothing quite like irises blooming in front of cypress trees that are draped with moss.
