Hummingbird resting, bug on beak,

hummer resting, it has a bug stuck on its beak :)

captured while I was on the front patio yesterday. Believe I was using the 70-200 lens here, as was closer to the flowers that the hummers are feeding on (crocosmia/montbretia and monarda/bee balm).

reminded me of the lines of a song "watching me, watching you".

thanks for the nice comment, Tam. Am not sure if it's a female or immature male Rufous or Allen's hummer. The females are hard to tell apart.

that's a sweet comment, too, Don, very nice of you, thankyou. Yep, guess you are right, - well, not to worry, am sure I'll never get over the hummer addiction, - same as all the other hummer afficionadoes out there.
