Very nice picture. I love blue

glassware. I gave my oldest son all my glass collectables. I had

an old bottle from a ship that had

seams. It was found on the shore on my parents property. It also had a rounded bottom. I think the blue is so beautiful! Thanks for sharing Carol.

interesting hint, Carol, wasn't aware of that, re the seam line on the bottles.

Thanks Mary,Jeanne and Alandra for comments always appreciated.

A lot of my bottles i have found on old Tote roads where old foundations were and I have bought some also at flea markets.

You can tell if the bottle is old by the seam line on the side of the bottle, the lower the seam line the older the bottle. All bottles made after 1900 the seam line runs way up the bottle.

lovely colour, Carol, this is one of my fave colours in glass also.

the blue tinted background adds to this also.

someone on another list, used to collect blue bottles and she hung them outside on something, many of them. forget if she hung them on a tree or some other thing they'd devised.

I have several old bottles like this. My Mom always loved glass, and she collected various bottles like this and kept them in her screened-in front stone porch.

I have inherited her love of light on glass, although most of my own collection is green glass.
