Heron flying across road

: Heron flying across road; this great blue heron surprised me by landing nearby as I was getting some shots of a shetland pony yesterday morning. thanks Mary. In my version, the feet detail is very good when I zoom in on them. Can see the claws clearly :) and I didn't realize the foot "pads" are as fleshy, never having seen the underside of herons' feet before LOL. He's just locked his feet togther here, it's cool how they do that when flying, to keep their legs/feet together
