Heron in Sunset circling, approaching landing area

great blue heron, in the sunset, circling overhead as he comes in for a landing at the nesting area.

Mighty wings. Awesome to watch them. Sometimes they circle 2 and 3 times before they make their landing.

thankyou Beverly for the very nice comment. glad you like them. I cut the bit of the upper wingtip off in this one tho' : ) but liked the sunset glow, so sent it in despite that.
