Spiral Aloe

Macro.

I'm not sure the botanical name of this Aloe, but I love the way it spirals.

Taken at a local garden store.

Thank you everyone for your comments. I was in another store today and discovered the name of this plant. It is called: Aloe Polyphylla.

Interesting shot of aloe. Never seen it this way. I like the spiral. Sort of like a spiral staircase.

OK, thanks for your comments everyone. Lovely to have them.

Not i'm sure if this is even an Aloe Alandra. It just looks like it could be, unfortunatley this didn't have the name of it on the planter (I should have asked!).

fascinating and interesting pattern on this plant. eye catching and I really like it. Have never seen an aloe like this. wonder if it's something just available in NZ or if we'll eventually see them here also. I'll look out for them.

This is excellent. I love the pattern and the lighting. In the thumbnail, I thought you had spiralled a photo and then I clicked on it to see that its really like that. Nice use of framing also. Looks like a calendar shot to me.

What a beautiful pattern. The side lighting really sharpens the detail. Very nice.
