No, it was just luck how this happened. A man was already in the road, with tripod and camera! so DH noticed the heron and we turned around and I just stood near this other photographer and snapped away, amazed that the heron stayed there, as he was : ) Then he told us where the snowy owls were, so it was our lucky day!
