Winter's Flight

These geese are flying south for the winter. I used a smart blur of a 15 pixel radius and a threshold of about 5 to make the clouds look soft and fluffy, but keep the birds somewhat crisp.

My family's great enjoyment is to see and hear the geese heading south in the winter and coming back in the summer. A picture like this must be very hard to capture. A superb shot!!

How I love these birds! Many of them winter here. They come to Scottsdale because we have little ponds of open water available to them. They are so used to people you can get quite close to them. They are gone from here now. I miss them.

Nice formation though it would be cool if you were able to get a closer shot of them. I'm sure zooming in on birds in flight would be tough though.
