Showy three petal spring flower, clump forming.Plant rhizomes about 4 inches deep.

This one is a wildflower that grows in the woods in our backyard.

great shot of the trillium, Carol, very pretty flowers, and the name of "painted trillium" is perfect for these. I always think of a longtime friend when I hear or see anything about trilliums, as she was always talking about them, when we were young. Maybe they are rare around this area
