Peony

: Peony; We have a row of these shrubs along the edge of our yard. This was taken just after a light rain as the sun was coming back out. I extracted the flower in photoshop. This is very impressive. I love the clarity of the flower and rain drops. I would not have chosen the background colour but it works beautifully

I used a Kodak DX4330. I touched it up in PhotoShop by doing an unsharp mask at 200%, 0.6 pixels, 5 threshhold. That's what brought out the droplet's sparkle. The background was dropped in PhotoShop by using the Extract tool and cutting out just the peony. Then I used the eye dropper to get the green from one of the water droplets, created a new layer, and filled that layer with the green. Then I made another layer, highlighted the whole image, and did a stroke of 2 or 3 pixels using the eyedropper tool to get the red from the peony.
