Carol. I have never seen one before. It must have self seeded in our boundry hedge but I love it. enjoy yours when it flowers. They are very pretty to watch in the wind.

LOL I think it is just something very different. We are very dark sandy soil that may be the difference.

Dont worry your flowers sound way better than mine, wish this one changed colour and had just a little pink here, our soil is very black here, something about where you are must be much better than what we have here.

Hi Alandra and Lorraine. Thank you it is nice to have a name for it. It does grow very fast and has a lovel sent. Maybe mine has something lacking in the soil or the salt spray changes the colours of the flowers

Hi Tania, I think it's called a Lilac, I have one but it dosent change to pink like this one, great shot.

Hi Tania, do these have a nice scent? We have something that looks like this, smells great, - it's called Buddleia here, or Butterfly Bush or Summer Lilac. Our largest one was ruined by the heavy snowfall recently, so DH cut it down. They grow very fast tho' so we'll get another. I'd like one this colour this time.
