Eagle Bay

An eagle glides over the large waves of the bay in hopes of seeing an unlucky fish swimming near the surface of the translucent water. Its powerful wings easily keep it aloft above the rhymetic rise and fall of the water while the sun slowly drifts towards the horizon.

This image was created and rendered with Bryce, and minor post production was done in photoshop. The bird was extracted from a photograph and imported onto a 2D plane. A light was used to eliminate the silhouette effect on the eagle due to the sun's backlighting.

This image will be appearing on the front cover of 2009's class schedule for Mt. San Jacinto College, a community college in California.

They've paid a fair price for it and found the image through my gallery on The Lens Flare.

All I did in Photoshop was adjusted the levels to increase it's contrast. I do the same Photoshop work on 3D renders as I do for photographs.

Duh ... looking back I see that photoshop WAS one of the programs you used. I have so much to learn ....

This is beautiful. I haven't any experience with any of the editing programs you have used - I'm only just figuring out some of what photoshop can do. Again ... beautiful!!!

Outstanding Job! Everything is so nice and clear and the colors so bright. I know absolutely nothing about this Bryce program, it does look like a lot of fun.
