Happy Mother's Day - Proud Mama & ducklings

Happy Mother's Day to all the Mothers, Grandmothers, Daughters, Aunts and all the dear ladies who wish to be included. Hope everyone will have a perfectly lovely day.

We saw this sweet Mallard Hen and her precious babies on Saturday as we were leaving a garden center, so had to stop to capture some images. The proud Mama was sooo protective, - a loud motorcycle went past while we were stopped there, and when I looked back at this little family, the mother duck had shuttled all the babies back into a huddle much closer to the cover of the grasses at the bank of the little waterway, and was shielding them with her body. It was quite touching.

thankyou Don and Beverly for the nice comments. In my version you can see all this grass in the water, and the ducks were all foraging in it, and Mama has strands of grass stuck on her chest, but hard to see in this version :)
