Hi Alex!

There were dozens of ducks huddled together in the center of the frozen lake, but this guy was close enough to get some decent photos. I can't imagine how they are getting enough food this winter.

I pulled my van in by the Lake on my way home from the OARDC a few days ago and was sitting there watching the ducks (who were huddled in the middle of the lake) on the ice and snow. All of a sudden this one drake picks himself up and flys to within 20 feet of my van and settles back down. He stayed there until I left. Fortunately, I had my 70-300mm lense with me to capture this close-up.
