: Natures Fireworks; This is the center of a dahlia I have grown in my garden. I grow lots of these as it is my favorite flower to photograph. You'll probalbly get tired of these shot by the end of the summer. I guess I will appologize now for putting you through this. The lighter colour on the petal tips and yellow area give this shot a lift and energy that's sometimes missing if there isn't back or sidelighting available, for macros and outside shots.

Beautiful macro. What kind of lens did you use. I have a 80-400 zoom lens on my wish list for the future, and I think I need to add a macro lens to the list. Right now I do all my photography with a 38-300 lens.

great macro of the dahlia centre, Plumeriagrl. It's a very attractive one with the light tips on the petals. Also love dahlias and always grow them each summer. Have planted some new ones this year, but some will be a bit late blooming.
