Brown Headed Cowbird

: Brown Headed Cowbird; this cowbird is a parasite bird, the female finds the nests of finches, warblers & vireos and removes one egg from the other bird's nest. Then she lays one of her eggs in that nest for the other parent birds to incubate and raise. She does this in several nests each spring. I never knew that about this bird. Strange though, you'd think it would just sit on its own eggs and be a parent like the rest of us though!
