: Santa Catalinas 01; These are the Santa Catalina Mountains in southern Arizona. Just on the other side is the city of Tucson. There are some homes in this area. Thanks km. The tree is a mesquite. Very common here on the desert. The wood is very good as a barbeque fuel. A mesquite barbequed steak is fabulous!

Thanks Alex. I haven't been down that way since I took this shot. It is not on the main highway between Phoenix and Tucson. Now that we will be getting into the cooler weather again, I need to plan another trip down that back road. I always like the back roads better than the freeways anyway.
