I'm glad you were able to rescue the bird, I was not so lucky when my kitty got one of the house finches from my bird photos, I dont know if she got the ones in the pictures exactley but I have not seen them around here anymore since then. I was really upset afterwards, I feel like the male and female mate for life so I feel like it was a terrible loss to him.Oh well I guess it is just life in the wild.
