Thankyou chriss35 for looking in, my daughter now lives in the south Island, So I'm Spending more and more time down there. Being a wedding photographer I see so many different cakes, some are quite plain and others, alot of work has gone into them.

agreeing with Tania, those do look like those little succulent plants, - think the nickname here for these is "hens and chicks". A friend gave me a few from her garden a year ago, but mine didn't survive.
