Bushtit Trio-Meet Mrs White Eyes

this cute Trio of Bushtits put on quite a bathing performance also : ) Love the white eyes on the one bushtit. Have recently read that the female Bushtits are the white-eyed ones, so had to alter the caption :) Actually there were about 10 or more there bathing that day.

thanks Deb, it is a comical scene. Surprisingly, they do manage to bathe. I should send in a couple of bedraggled shots : ) PS, there is a larger area for them to bathe if they wish to.

Very funny and great capture! Squeezing in together but there's not much room to splash around.

thanks very much, Mary in Kent, am glad it made you laugh, as I do think they are comical pics of the bushtits : ) Also like the way the tails and outer wings are matched in this one.

This is a great shot. It could be a poster with some funny caption. Great catch.

Talsi from Western North Carolina USA on Apr 11, 2006 at 9:13 AM said:

All of your bushtits shot are great. This one is my favorite as it looks like white eye is protecting his territory and the middle one, and that the one on the other side is also helping to protect the middle one.

Great picture- I laughed as soon as I saw it- you got their personalities! The one in the middle just gets on with his drink! Those tails each side so well matched!
