Band Tailed Pigeon, full viewfull view of the Band Tailed Pigeon, showing the band on its tail. Very cautious and timid birds. This is the first time I've seen it at the fountain drinking. These birds are protected here. (they are not the ordinary pigeons, btw) - these don't roost on peoples' houses and cause problems.
