Thank you, Don. I kept inching closer to it, hoping the top of my head or my camera lens weren't too tempting a target!! (It happened to me up north a couple of years ago - by a seagull - right after we disembarked from a lighthouse tour - several people enjoyed my embarrassment!!)

The framing came from another shot of the same bird enlarged so that only the wing was visible, then filtered with an "old paper" effect. I wanted to enhance the bird's colors more subtly.

very nice, Vicki and the frame suits it perfectly. Interesting also to see and hear about the different birds in your area, would love to see them and hear the different songs.
