Salute to Cape Hatteras Light Station

I took this photo close to where the majestic light was moved inland from, over 23 days, in 1998.

198 feet tall, she was gently shifted 2,900 feet to safer land, less likely to fall prey to the Atlantic Ocean's ruthless tides and winds.
