It's A Boy! (#8 in series)
 | Isn't he just absolutely gorgeous? I took this of him (just hours old & yes, it's a boy, you can tell from the black spot on each of his lower wings. The females don't have these scent glands.) resting on my hand before I took him outside to flutter away. He's not actually the butterfly in the series of hatching photos, that was a girl, but he was so obliging to let me take this picture of him in all his glory.

Osprey And Chicks
 | A female Osprey caring for her two, new, little chicks sitting on the nest. The Mother has her wings slightly spread, to protect the little ones from the strong sun. The male was on top of a flag pole, close by, warding off any predators...vultures flying 'hopefully', near by.
